ERIC (Education Resources Information Center) is an authoritative database of indexed and full-text education literature and resources. Sponsored by the Institute of Education Sciences of the U.S. Department of Education, it is essential too for education researchers of all kinds.

JSTOR
JSTOR (pronounced JAY-stor; short for Journal Storage) is a digital library founded in 1995. Originally containing digitized back issues of academic journals, it now also includes books and primary sources, and current issues of journals. It provides full text searches of almost 2,000 journals.
This is an archive database so the articles are 3-5 years old but it contains a good amount of Irish material.

Emerald provides access to full text articles from over 100 business, management and quality journals. This databases is great for business, health and safety, quality , marketing, tourism, sociology, HR, accounting, engineering and education. Super material to be found under Emerald Resources which includes Research Zone and Learning Zone.

ScienceDirect
Science Direct provides access to abstracts and full text articles in science, engineering, business and humanities journals published by Elsevier. The library subscription includes full text of articles (no ebooks) for approximately the past five years. Other references include citation/abstract only.
The name of the database is a bit misleading as it is great for a range of topics including finance, marketing, psychology, social sciences and tourism along with civil and electronic engineering subject areas.

Science Direct is actually a great source of articles on a broad range of subject

Westlaw
Westlaw is the largest Irish collection of case reports with over 21,000 available online. It includes Irish Law Reports Monthly, Employment Law Reports and the Irish Law Times Reports dating back to 1871. Westlaw contains 5 individual modules: Case reports, Annotated statutes, Journals, Consolidated legislation and Current awareness.
