Health and Medical Information Science: Vancouver Referencing

Different Versions of referencing styles

There are different versions of Vancouver referencing, just as there are different versions of Harvard. In some cases different colleges edit a style and brand it as their own and some journal publishers do the same. Ask you lecturer which version of Vancouver or Harvard they want you to use. While the library officially only supports Harvard ITS version we will do our best to guide you with Vancouver where possible but we are not as familiar with it.

We have loaded several styles into endnote online over the years for researchers and classes. We added the British Journal of Nutrition style and we have 2 Vancouver styles loaded- Vancouver and Vancouver-NIH.
