Developing Critical Thinking

 

 

Critical thinking means not taking what you hear or read at face value, but using your critical faculties to weigh up the evidence, and considering the implications and conclusions of what the writer is saying.

Find e-theses

Many institutions now provide archives of electronic theses and many of these are open access such as:

  • Research@THEA  Research@THEA is an open access repository established in 2017 containing research from all the Institutes of Technology.
  • The British Library EThOS    Contains over 450,000 records relating to theses.
  • DART European E-Theses Portal   Access to over 700,000 open access research theses from 606 universities and 28 European countries.
  • OATD  Open Access Theses and Dissertations from 1100 colleges universities and research institutions
  • PQDT Open   Open access dissertations and theses primarily from the US.
